SPM Lab has moved to Ferguson Hall, room 16. You are welcome to the new Lab
for materials imaging and characterization. |

SPM facility will be moved to the Nanofab Facility (Ferguson Hall,
room 16). We will arrange to shut down the SPM central facility several days for moving, setup and installation, testing, and calibration. |

A Power Lever electronic door lock has been installed on SPM
facility lab. For all authorized SPM users, the Power Lever Door Lock is
accessed via a combination entered at the keypad. The combination length is
six digits (two-digit user ID + four-digit PIN). The combination will always
be unique to a given user who will receive a valid combination via email. |

Problem on SPM has been fixed. SPM is available for users now. All SPM users
should be very careful in using SPM facility. Please see instructions for
how to use SPM correctly. Please read the notice on the wall of the SPM Lab
to know how to protect the SPM scanner. Thanks for your attention. |

SPM is shutdown. The power supply and X-Y board on the Nanoscope controller
IIIa have been replaced. The Z-board for the controller will be changed. |

The trouble-shooting of the zoom motor on the SPM has been finished. This
should be resolve the problem of zooming in and out of video images that we
have been experiencing lately. |

online (http://ncmn-webcal.unl.edu/spm/calendar.htm).
Trained and registered users have been given accounts to make a
reservation for using SPM. Please remember to sign-up for the SPM
schedule before you use it! SPM facility is available for use by all qualified faculty, students and
researchers at UNL, as well as by researchers from other universities and
industries. Scheduling is handled on first-come first-serve basis by sign-up
the instrument reservation calendar online. A facility specialist is available to assist researchers using
the instrument . |
